COOKIES POLICY

Updated: 5/25/2018

WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are tiny text files that can be placed on your computer or mobile device that uniquely (but anonymously) identify your browser or device. They are unable to search your computer in any way, they cannot introduce viruses to your computer, and they do not contain personal identifying information about you. (Basically, they are nothing to be afraid of.)

WHAT ARE COOKIES USED FOR?
Cookies are a dynamic Internet tool constantly evolving by global digital system developers. We use cookies as a tool to generally improve your experience on our Website. We may use cookies to know if your computer or device has visited our site before. These cookies on your computer or device can then be used to help you navigate between pages efficiently.

Web publishers use cookies to understand how you use their site or service. Services such as Google Analytics use cookies to provide anonymous aggregated data, such as how much time users, in general, spend on the site, how many pages they visited and in what order.
Cookies can also be used for online advertising. In collecting basic information gathered by the cookies, online advertisers can make informed guesses about your demographic and then target ads specifically to your interest. In other words, if you visit a site about watches, it may drop a cookie on your computer, so the next webpages you visit may then contain ads about watches.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE USED?
There are generally four categories of cookies: “Strictly Necessary,” “Performance,” “Functionality,” and “Targeting.” The Online Advertising Guide routinely uses three of these types of cookie: “Strictly Necessary,” “Performance,” and “Targeting.”
At the time of this writing, here is some information available about each cookies category:

  1. Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are essential, as they enable you to move around our Website and use its features, for example, the cookie to say you have/have not allowed cookies to be used on this site.
  2. Performance Cookies. These cookies collect information about how you have used our Website, for example Google Analytics, which is used to track basic user behavior on our site so we can try and improve our users’ experience.
  3. Targeting Cookies. We do not use targeting cookies.
  4. Functionality Cookies. These cookies may collect anonymous information but do not track your browsing activity.

HOW LONG DO COOKIES STAY ON YOUR DEVICE?
The amount of time a cookie stays on your device is variable depending on a number of factors.  You can control this on your individual browser. (See section: “How to Control and Delete Cookies” below.)

FIRST- AND THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
First-party cookies are cookies that belong to DIG Coaching Practice. Third-party cookies are cookies that another party places on your device through our site. Third-party cookies may be placed on your device by someone providing a service for DIG Coaching Practice (e.g., Google Analytics, AdWords, or AdSense) to help us understand how our site is being used. We do not have direct control of third-party cookies.

HOW TO CONTROL AND DELETE COOKIES
At the time of this writing, the following information was available, but they are independent resources and may change at any time without notice to us:

  1. Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
  2. There is also type of cookie called a “Flash Cookie” that is not covered by the above. To learn how to delete these, visit: http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
